ACH Credit

ACH Credit is an electronic payment method that you may use to pay tax liabilities. You instruct your financial institution to transfer the funds from your account to ours. We then apply the payment to your tax liability. Payments are made using the Tax Payment (TXP) Banking Convention in the addendum record of a CCD+ formatted record.

If you are mandated or interested in paying your tax by this method voluntarily, complete Form EFT-1, Authorization Agreement for Electronic Funds Transfer. You will be contacted by the department after we receive your form.

Note: The bank used for ACH credit payments changed for payments settling on or after October 1, 2010. Direct your payment to the department’s new account at Wells Fargo Bank, 90 South Seventh Street, Minneapolis, Minnesota 55402.

Taxpayers utilizing the ACH credit method were mailed detailed bank change information in September 2010. If these taxpayers have not received their bank change notice, they should call 217 782-6257.
