Are there requirements for dyed diesel fuel storage and sales?
Yes. A legible and conspicuous notice must be placed on all storage containers that contain dyed diesel fuel. The notice must state “Dyed Diesel Fuel Non-Taxable Use Only”. All bills of lading and invoices must contain the following statement on all dyed diesel sales and shipments “Dyed Diesel Fuel Non-Taxable Use Only, Penalty for Taxable Use”. Only a licensed distributor or supplier may make sales of dyed diesel fuel.
