I am starting a new business. How do I register with the Illinois Department of Revenue?

You should register with IDOR before you make any sales or when you hire an employee. 
To register your business you may choose one of the following options:

• Register electronically with our online Business Registration Application.
• Complete and mail Form REG-1, Illinois Business Registration Application.
• Visit a regional office.
