Your Certificate of Registration will renew automatically as long as you are complying with all filing and payment requirements. Your certificate will be mailed to you by the 15th day of the month for which your certificate expires. Certificates of Registration do not expire until the end of the month. Please refer to the Illinois Administrative Code, Section 130.701.
Note: The look of the certificate has changed to a letter-sized, white sheet of paper with black type that identifies the taxes for which you are responsible. It provides your Illinois business tax (IBT) number and, if applicable, your license number. The seal of the State of Illinois is printed on the bottom of the certificate instead of the envelope-sized, colored certificate.
