My child went on a field trip that was required by the school. I had to pay $25.00 for the trip. The cost included the transportation, lunch, and the admission fee. Is this a qualified education expense?

If the $25 is a lump sum charge paid to the school, it would qualify as a lab fee. If the charge for lunch is separate, it does not qualify. Any amounts you paid directly to the museum would not qualify because only amounts paid to the school are eligible for the credit.
