How do I discontinue my business with the Illinois Department of Revenue?

To discontinue your business with IDOR, you will need to contact us via email by using the "Submit a question" form at the bottom of this page, or you may call us at (217) 785-3707. Please have your Illinois Business Tax (IBT) number available, which tax types you need discontinued, and the date of discontinuation. Please note that you may be required to file any final returns through the liability period for which you are discontinuing.
