Is there a tax in Illinois on Digital Subscriber Line (DSL)?

In Illinois, DSL services are taxable under the Telecommunication Excise Tax, Simplified Municipal Telecommunication Tax Acts, and the Telecommunications Infrastructure Maintenance Fee.

If you provide DSL service, you must file and pay the tax you owe on Form RT-2, Telecommunications Tax Return or Form RT-10, Telecommunications Infrastructure Maintenance Fee, whichever is applicable.
