What is the difference between a pay-by-phone debit payment and an ACH credit payment?

The pay-by-phone debit option is an electronic transfer that occurs when you authorize our agent to transfer funds from your account on the date you select. If you choose the pay-by-phone debit option, you must complete a separate Form EFT-1, Authorization Agreement for Certain Electronic Payments, for each account from which you will make payments.

The ACH credit payment option is an electronic transfer that occurs when you, using a system provided by your own financial institution, originate an entry for deposit into our account. We recommend that you contact your financial institution to find out about their ACH services and any associated fees.
