What do I need to give my to bank to allow electronic payments to be debited from my account?

Increasingly, many bank accounts now contain anti-fraud safeguards that prevent certain electronic payments from being completed.

Your financial institution may require one of the following originator identification (ID) numbers to identify and allow electronic payments originating from the Illinois Department of Revenue 

  • If you initiate your payment by calling 1 888-453-6789 or by logging on to First Data Government Solutions web site, the originator ID is 4376002057.
  • For payments initiated using MyTax Illinois or third party software, the originator ID is 5555566257.
