I transmitted my withholding income tax payment on the TaxNet system and made an error.  How do I correct it?

If you have received a confirmation number from TaxNet, you cannot go back into the system and change the payment. You may email us by using the "Submit a question" form at the bottom of this page or call us at 1 866-440-8680 to determine if the payment may be modified. If you have made two payments for the same amount and liability period, call us or email us as soon as possible with the correct information.

Withholding payments that have been submitted through TaxNet but not yet executed may be canceled, or the following withholding payment information may be modified:

  • tax type of payment;
  • account period ending of payment;
  • amount of payment; and
  • requested settlement date of payment.

You will need to provide in the email: the Federal Employer Identification Number (FEIN),confirmation number, amount of payment and the settlement date with instructions to either cancel the payment or to make a change to the payment.
