If you have not yet received a bill from us, send a letter including your Social Security number, the type of return you filed, and the tax year along with your payment. Make your check or money order payable to Illinois Department of Revenue and write your Social Security number on it. Do not send cash.

Send your payment to:
Illinois Department of Revenue
Taxpayer Correspondence Division
PO Box 19044
Springfield, IL 62794-9044

If you have received a bill, please follow the instructions on the bill.
